Our impulse to the energy of knowledge

Have you ever thought about what makes people receive new knowledge? What motivates and encourages them?

Each of us will answer this question in our own way. But when on the way of learning and discovering we meet those who are ready to support or show the result by example to which we aspire, it surely gives new impetus and expands the horizons of endeavors.

For many years we have been sharing the company values, innovation in the power industry and Enel best world's practices with our trainees and students.

Among our colleagues are those who every year give open lessons in schools and nursery schools spreading the culture of safe conduct and care about the environment. We arrange tours to the power plants, for over 10 years we have been inviting the schoolchildren and students to take part in the international education project Play Energy in Russia.

In addition to the encouraging stories and tours, we give particular attention to motivation of the best students and teachers.

For many many years, following the results of the semesters the best students and teachers of the universities and energy colleges that train specialists to work in the industry and at our power plants receive special prizes from the company.

We cooperate with Yekaterinburg Energy College, Nevinnomyssk Energy College, Konakovo Energy College, Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N.Yeltsin, MGIMO University, Russian Academy of Justice, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, and we provide support to the scientists of Energy Research Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences.

The main criteria for student selection generally are excellent academic progress, involvement in the research and development activities, participation in all-Russian academic competitions and contests, and interest in studies. On the contrary, teachers are assessed based on the results of their work during the year, curricular and extra-curricular activities. At the same time, nominated teachers are the participants of the All-Russian competitions in research works and various youth projects.

From 2015 to 2018, scholarships of Enel Russia were awarded to 20 young scientists, 92 teachers and 137 students

Among ex-students who several years ago were awarded with our company's corporate scholarships are those who were very successful both in the energy companies and in civil service.

“It's always interesting to learn something new communicating with professionals, experts. It's a good thing the company has various instruments to motivate students”

– Maksim Kuznetsov, Chief Specialist of Fuel and Energy Complex of the Ministry of Energy and Housing and Public Utilities of the Sverdlovsk Region

You may ask why we are doing this.

“These initiatives allow sharing knowledge and revealing the main point of our profession. We can see the success of schoolchildren and students, and extra motivation of children will allow achieving even greater staff development for the power industry involving fresh talent there”

– Stephane Zweguintzow, People and Organization of PJSC Enel Russia

We do not presume to be the leaders, but if our experience helps the schoolchildren choose their future profession and the students feel the desire to fulfill their professional potential in the power industry, then it just makes it all worth it.
