Enel publishes its first integrated report, the new consolidated annual report for 2019

“The new Consolidated Annual Report has the ambition to be the first concrete example of an ‘integrated report’ at the service of all our stakeholders. We have changed our approach to constructing the Report because for us the integration between business and sustainability is real: in our strategy, in our operations, in our results and therefore also in the way all of this is recounted. In this way, the Consolidated Annual Report has evolved in its content and fruition to become a narrative tool at the service of all our stakeholders.”

– Alberto de Paoli, CFO of the Enel Group

The new structure of the Management Report provides financial and non-financial information, alongside their mutual interconnections, within four key pillars: Governance, which illustrates the governing bodies of the Group and their organizational model, how they play an active role in the area of sustainability on top of being enabling factors in the fight against climate change; Strategy & Risk Management, focusing on the Group’s 2020-2022 Strategy and on the description of risks as well as opportunities; Performance & Metrics, which details the Group’s financial and non-financial performance, with an integrated view and in line with Enel’s business model; and Outlook, which outlines the most significant aspects of the evolution of the operations of the Enel Group.

The Report also integrates climate change information throughout the document, presented in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.

The new Consolidated Annual Report has become the core document of the Group’s corporate reporting, leaving the insights aimed at specific categories of stakeholders to the other documents, such as the Sustainability Report[1] and the Report on Corporate Governance and Ownership Structure.

To ensure better access to its content, the new 2019 Consolidated Annual Report is also published through a digital tool that allows access to all the information documents made available by the Group from a single entry point, favoring interconnected and personalized navigation in line with the readers’ areas of interest: http://annualreport2019.enel.com/intro/
